Bio-Foliar Care (for Diseases)
Bio-Foliar Care (for Diseases) consisting of Bacillus subtilis, Ampelomyces quisqualis, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Streptomyces lydicus, suitable to control wide range of Bacterial and Fungal Diseases in many Agricultural and Horticultural crops.
Bacillus subtilis is a spore forming bacteria, it can able to survive and foliage and compete with and thereby suppress the bacterial and fungal diseases.
The fungus Ampelomyces quisqualis is a naturally occurring hyperparasite of powdery mildews. It infects and forms pycnidia (fruiting bodies) within powdery mildew hyphae, conidiophores (specialized spore-producing hyphae), and cleistothecia (the closed fruiting bodies of powdery mildews). This parasitism reduces growth and may eventually kill the mildew colony.
Pseudomonas fluorescens suppress plant diseases by production of number of secondary metabolites including antibiotics, siderophores and hydrogen cyanide. This microbe has the unique ability to enter the plant vascular system, reach the various parts of the plant system and act as a systemic bio-control agent against various fungal and bacterial diseases.
Streptomyces lydicus is a species from Actinomycetes group (undifferentiated fungal and bacterial species), produces variety of secondary metabolites, antibiotics (e.g., Streptomycin, Neomycin and Chloramphenicol) and enzymes. Streptomyces lydicus has the unique ability to enter the plant vascular system, reach the various parts of the plant system and act as a systemic bio-control agent against various fungal and bacterial diseases. .
Dosage and Application
Foliar spray: 5 kg / hectare in 500 litres of water i.e., 10 gm per litre of water. The spray volume depends on the crop canopy..
